planks needed = builds needed × planks per build

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Construction different from other skills here?

The math is identical to the Skill Training Calculator (actions needed = XP gap / XP per action) -- Construction just gets its own page because each build action also consumes a specific number of a named plank, so the useful output is a plank count, not just an action count.

Are the preset build methods realistic training methods?

They're a small, typed-from-memory list of common build-and-remove training actions and their approximate XP and plank costs -- a real, efficient training plan usually also factors in gold cost per XP, which this calculator doesn't model. Confirm current costs before committing to a method.

Why is the plank count not the same as the build count?

Different build actions consume different numbers of planks -- a simple item might need one plank, a larger piece of furniture several of a more expensive type. The calculator multiplies builds needed by the selected method's planks-per-build to give a real shopping-list number.
